So I gave my mom a small heart attack last night. I had just gotten to work when I noticed my chest seemed really tight and I was kind of short of breath. I didn't think anything of it suffering from a digestive disease and sometimes I just get a really tight abdominal cavity. But shortly after I noticed it was getting worse and I was finding it harder and harder to breathe correctly. Which made me panic. It was interrupting my job and my leader certainly noticed, he was really nice and understanding and let me leave.
That's when I called my roommate, Libby Oppy, and left her a voicemail along the lines of "Libby *Sob* I need you *Sob* to call me *sob* as soon as you get this" and she of course panicked and called me right back.
SO I then spent the next two hours in the ER, after they told me all my symptoms pointed to a collapsed lung. Thankful it was not that. I somehow managed to pull the muscles in between each of my ribs all the way up the right side of my rib cage. Making it difficult to expand my chest cavity, which made it difficult to breathe in.
All and all it wasn't a horrible trip to the ER, and I am so thankful it wasn't something worse!
So with that being said, Thank you to my wonderful roommate Libby Oppy, for being there for me last night when the only person on the face of this planet that I wanted was my mom. I don't think I have ever been so afraid of the thought of her not being the one sitting with me in the ER. I am so glad I have a roommate like Libby who would drop whatever it was that she was doing and take me to the hospital. I love you girl, to the moon and all the freakin way back. Stay beautiful Sunshine.
